Two mobile phones showing a dashboard with measurement data

FAQ

Our numbers have not added up since the cookie changes. Where do we start?

With a review of what you measure and how good the data is. The problem is usually what is measured and why, not the tools.

We compare what you measure today with what you need to know. Old tracking that nobody uses is often still running, while the things that drive decisions are not measured at all.

Then we look at consent, tagging and data quality. Once the basics are right, we can talk about tools and reports, and the numbers can be trusted again.

What is server-side tracking?

Tracking that goes through your own server instead of straight from the visitor's browser. It gives you more stable data and more control over what is shared.

The browser sends an event to your server. The server then passes on only what you have chosen to each tool, so you decide what leaves the building.

The benefit shows when browsers block scripts and shorten how long cookies last. You still need consent. The rules apply just as much when tracking moves to the server.

We already have too many dashboards. What do you do differently?

We remove what nobody uses. The goal is fewer views and analysis that tells you what to do.

We start from the decisions you need to make and how often. Anything that does not help one of those decisions can go without anyone missing it.

It usually ends up as one view for management, one for the people working in the channels and a deeper one for analysis. Plus a short note on what the numbers mean this month, because that is rarely obvious.

What are GEO and AEO?

Two ways to show up in AI tools such as ChatGPT and Perplexity. GEO is about appearing in the answers AI writes, AEO about becoming the source those answers are built on.

In practice, your content has to be quotable. It needs clear questions and answers, a structure machines can read and figures that can be checked. It also helps to be mentioned on sites that AI models trust.

Classic SEO is the foundation and this is the next layer. Most of it makes your content better for people too.

Do GEO and AEO replace traditional SEO?

No, you need both. AI answers rely on the same signals as search engines, meaning quality, structure and authority, but weigh them differently.

Search engines still drive the traffic. AI answers shape how you are seen by the person asking, and more and more often that is a buyer's first encounter with you.

The foundation is shared: a technically healthy site, content that answers real questions and mentions from others. On top of that, we do the work that makes you quotable.

Can visibility in AI answers be measured?

Yes, but the measurement is new and has its limits. We track how often you are mentioned in AI answers and how you are described.

At regular intervals we ask the major AI tools the same set of questions. We note whether you are mentioned, how you are described and which sources the answer relies on.

Over time this gives you a trend to work against and a list of sources worth influencing. We also tell you what the measurement does not show.
